What do you think of the start of my short story?
I don’t know exactly where I’m going… but I was in a certain mood and decided to just sit down and right. What do you think and where do you think I could go with this?

Here it is:
When I was seven, I found myself crushing. There was this girl, Cindy, and I really liked her a lot. I loved her, you know. I'd push her over in the sand pit and jump on her sand castle and scream and yell and I was so, so ecstatic when she cried and the teacher came over and I was dragged by the ear to the confines of the naughty corner. The way she stumbled away obviously distressed every time I snatched 'Mrs. Little Bear' from her hands had me going crazy. She was the best. Even more, she was the highlight of my kindergarten days, so much so that in one instance, during morning tea, I gave her my cupcake after she'd dropped hers in the garden. Then she smiled and walked off. And I strutted over to my 'Thomas the Tank Engine' train kit absolutely beaming.

When I was fifteen, I found myself crushing again. This time on my one and only true love. Her name was Sammy and she, unlike any other girl I had met before, was the reason I got up out of bed every morning. She was the most amazing girl in the whole entire universe and there was no else like her, I promise. She was my soul mate and we were obviously meant to be. I remember the first time I laid eyes on her at my best friend, Jake's birthday party. She was wearing a tight dress and standing over near the wall with the rest of the few girls who had been invited. I, myself, was miles away, leaning against the other wall opposite, trying to look as snazzy as I could among a huddle of nerdy teenage boys, a deep and dark ocean of awkward impressions between us. There, Samantha and I met eyes for just a second. And then we dropped them into beds of blushing cheeks. She smiled at me, I swear. Man, I was in love. She was the woman I wanted to marry. And did you see the size of her ****?! Seven months later, we broke up. She tore my heart out and stamped on it and I realised she never loved me. She's just a *****, really, but I missed her so much.

When I was nineteen, just after I ended my final year in school absolutely alone, I was over women. Well, not completely, I wasn't a stranger to drunken one night stands after a trip to whichever bar or party my mates and I found ourselves at, but who needed relationships? I wanted to be single, definitely. And here, after nineteen years of love fuelled failures, is where my story begins. I'm young so excuse me, I don't really know how to tell you the whole thing. Let me begin though with the last few moments of my best buddy's life. And that starts with silence.

It's really quiet right now. My ears, although completely numb, are ringing madly, and I can sense I'm supposed to be cringing in pain so I do it anyway. There's no real visual though, just touch. I'm crawling across jagged gravel. Actually, I think I'm lying still. There's just heat and it's making me dizzy. Dizzier. When the ringing stops, I hear the source, a raging flame. My leg, unlike the rest of my body, is freezing, like it's made out of ice. I can feel the marrow of my bone shattering into slushy snow and hailstones.

Last night the Maintenance Required light came on so I got an oil change right away.
On my way back, the Check Engine, CSV and Trac Off lights came on.
Car drives fine. Will get codes checked today.

Can a sudden fall in temperature throw the sensors off? It was the first day below 15 degrees F last night. Any guesses on what the codes might show? I’m hoping it’s just a sensor misfiring. I didn’t get gas last night and the gas tank cover is on tight, so that shouldn’t be the issue.

This video was a submission for Kraft Canada’s Spread the Feeling contest. In order to pull 1.5 kg of cargo, I had to load Thomas full of pennies… traction improved, but the magnets between wagons were strained. But Thomas persevered and the peanut butter was delivered! I have a 2 1/2 year old boy, and we’re expecting a girl in August. I feel bad that we’ve been doing so much to get ready for the baby that I want to do something to spruce up my son’s room as well. We are currently renting a house in Belgium so painting or any other big changes are out of the question and they’re pretty strict about that here. His favorite color is blue and he loves pretty much anything to do with Playhouse Disney –especially Handy Manny. He also loves Thomas the Tank Engine and Scooby Doo. I have gotten different kinds of underpants for him. His favorite characters on them. Thomas the tank engine. I sooometimes can get him to wear them but he takes them off eventually. He always uses the potty. He wears pull ups to bed though because he still sometimes pees in his sleep. But I haven’t changed a poopy diaper in months!! He has the occasional pee accident when we’re out though. He’s afraid of foreign toilets lol. This morning when we were getting ready to bring my daughter down to the school bus stop I brought him is thomas te tank engine underpants. I told him he was gonna wear he big boy underpants today and he lost his mind! I have been trying him with them again here and there but he just doesn’t want to wear them crying that he wants his pull ups. He’ll be 3 in january. Brest seems to appreciate the more orchestral side of Newman’s composing style, particularly in Meet Joe Black with its lush strings throughout. Scent of a Woman has a few quirkier features, but is mostly set on a bed of fragile strings and woodwinds. As his father Alfred did, Thomas Newman seems to have the ability to perform musical alchemy with his string writing and the way it’s performed, which invariably gives his music a very fragile quality, the feeling that the texture could be shattered at any minute. It is also romantic without ever becoming sentimental which is an all too rare gift. The main themes are quite lovely, although not instantly memorable, but grow on the listener with each listen. Newman does not hit you over the head with them, but envelopes the listener in his gentle musical soundscape. Only in the final couple of cues does Newman let go some of the restraint to form a more imposing and satisfying conclusion. The score is complimented by two source cues performed by The Tango Project, most famous of these is Por Una Cabeza, likely to at least be faintly familiar to most listeners. In April 2006, Norswiss Farms of Rice Lake, WI, a 1100 cow dairy farm, began the operation of an 848 kW CHP system operating on anaerobic digester gas from cow manure. The CHP system, installed by Microgy, Inc., a subsidiary of Environmental Power Corporation, is driven by a Jenbacher JGS316 GS-BL biogas engine with JW/IC heat recovery to maintain the temperature of the digester tank. The CHP system operates 24/7 and exports all of the generated electricity to the grid. This system will annually generate over 6500000 kWh, enough energy for 600+ homes. The anaerobic digester was installed at Norswiss Farms to assist in the reduction of animal waste problems associated with manure disposal on farms, odor reduction and the potential revenue benefit resulting from the sale of electricity. The methane conversion to energy process begins as the cow manure is collected and piped to a heated complete mix anaerobic digester where microbes break down organic material in an environment devoid of oxygen. Within the digester tank, waste decomposes over time into a variety of products, including biogas rich in methane (CH4). The methane is then piped through a scrubber where moisture is removed and the gas is cleaned. The biogas is then sent to the Jenbacher engine where waste heat from the engine’s jacket water and intercoolers is sent to a heat exchanger for hot water production that is then piped back to the digester to maintain the 750000 gallon digester tank in the Thermophilic …

Sapphire Beach Reef - St. Thomas USVI - Snorkeling

This is the reef right in front of our resort. Some Fauna and LPS Corals. An abundance of Angel’s, Tangs, Parrot Fish and schools of Barracuda. The reef stretches for 200 yards and has a large kelp bed in the middle. This is home to Sea Turtles and Rays. I have not seen any as of yet. This was my dive today 08/31/2009 at around 5PM Eastern. I get a little spooked at one point (Which you cannot see) but a school of Barracuda begin to feed on the Fry right in front of me. They have poor vision! There was an amazing species of Feather Duster’s which were bright yellow, they appear with the school of fish hovering inside the live rock. (Predator’s force that behavior) Also a huge Brain Coral Boulder towards the end….
